Installing a roof rack on a VAZ-2110 passenger car significantly increases the possibilities for transporting various goods - from sports equipment such as skis or bicycles to long building boards or even light piles. At the same time, the trunk, which is unsuccessfully fixed to the supports, can not only spoil the appearance of the car, but also create an emergency situation on the road. Therefore, it is important to know how to properly install it on the car roof.

Step 1
Select the appropriate roof rack based on the size of the load to be transported and the expected roof load during transport. Pay attention to the material from which the parts of the product are made. Better if they are made of galvanized steel. Plastic coating is acceptable. Don't buy a soft metal roof rack, especially if you plan on carrying really heavy loads. Such trunks quickly lose their performance. It is important that no special tools are used during the assembly process.
Step 2
When buying a trunk, do not forget that the roof of a VAZ-2110 car does not have shower drains. Therefore, you need a roof rack that has attachments to the roof edge.
Step 3
Begin by securing the two crossbeams on the roof of the machine. In order not to damage the doors, the supports must fit exactly against the seals. Otherwise, the paintwork of the VAZ-2110 may suffer.
Step 4
Pull out the adjusting handle. Gently grasping the support, turn the handle clockwise until the support is firmly in contact with the machine body. Walk around the car and repeat the process with the second support. Proceed smoothly, do not twist the handle. Check the crossbeam evenness so that the geometry is not disturbed. After completing the procedure, check the tightness of the fastening on both sides of the roof.
Step 5
Repeat the process for the second crossbeam. Measure the distance between the beams. It should be the same throughout their entire length.
Step 6
After completing the installation of the basic structure of the trunk, attach the service box. It allows you to transport various goods, regardless of weather conditions. At the same time, the box frees up the car interior, making it more spacious and comfortable for passengers. Some models have an impact-resistant coating and a lock, which, in combination with straps for internal load fixation, allows you to hope that the contents of the box will be safe even in extreme situations.
