In the process of pre-sale preparation, the seller pays special attention to improving the appearance of the car, and very rarely - of the interior. As a result, the car body retains its luster for quite a long time after purchase, and the interior has to be re-tightened.

Step 1
Most often, leather is used for trimming the car interior: this material looks good, is easy to clean and retains its appearance for a long time. The pattern embroidered on the leather looks especially gorgeous. The hauling process can be combined with installing speakers, amplifiers, TVs, etc. into the panel. The most difficult element of the cabin is the dashboard. Even experienced specialists spend the whole day on covering a dashboard.
Step 2
The final quality of work depends on the correct choice of material. Therefore, choose special car types. Automotive leather is more resistant to abrasion, frost and heat in the sun. In addition, the auto leather is dyed through and has a polyurethane coating that does not allow air to pass through. Perforated leather has numerous small ventilation holes.
Step 3
Before performing work, the dashboard must be removed. Otherwise, nothing good will come of it. In the process of dismantling a dashboard on a domestic car, many fastening elements become unusable and have to be replaced with new ones.
Step 4
There are no patterns and stencils for self-covering, so you will have to do the cutting yourself. If the torpedo was previously covered with any material, carefully remove the shell and use it as a stencil. If not, take a tailor's tape and measure all dimensions of the dashboard. In difficult areas, play it safe by making more allowances. Consider: in order to properly stretch the skin, you need to reduce 1-2 cm in size. If you change the style, take this into account when cutting.
Step 5
Adjust the cut dashboard shell in place and fasten it with a special line at all joints. In this case, the seam should not protrude above the surface. To do this, the skin is thinned on a splitting machine by cutting in depth. To make the seam smooth, it is coated with glue and tapped with a hammer. It is not recommended to put foam rubber: the panels will crumple after a short time and the appearance will be spoiled. If the surfaces of the dashboard are covered with cracks and dents, pre-seal them with an elastic filler.
