You can fit the VAZ interior using various materials - carpet, flock, alcantara and even leather. The selected material can also be used to glue over a torpedo, acoustic shelves, boxes, bezels. The padding will allow you to completely change the interior and give it a presentable look and uniqueness.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose a material for the close-fitting of the interior. The most expensive and most reliable type of upholstery is leather upholstery. Eco-leather is cheaper - a material similar to natural leather. According to its properties, it is of higher quality than leatherette. Reliable and not very expensive material for covering interiors is Alcantara. Cheaper and less wear-resistant - Carpet and Flock.

Step 2

Select the adhesive based on the selected material. It is better to purchase a special one - in the form of an aerosol, you can buy it at any car dealership.

Step 3

Start hauling the cabin with simple interior elements: handles, door inserts, plastic at the gearbox. If possible, remove the selected part before pasting. Clean it from dirt and degrease. Then glue over more complex elements, for example, a torpedo, sun visors, when you "get your hand".

Step 4

Fit the headliner. To do this, first disassemble it with a screwdriver. Remove clips, lights, plastic pads and pull out the ceiling. Remove old fabric and foam. Make a pattern from the selected material to fit the shape of the ceiling, leaving a few centimeters for the hem.

Step 5

Glue the fabric, starting from the spot on the ceiling where the visors are attached. Smooth out the material during the process. Wait for the glue to dry. Flip the ceiling. Tuck the material inward and glue it to the back. Assemble the ceiling.

Step 6

Tighten the doors, trunk mat, pillars in the same way. To over-tighten the car seats, pull them out of the passenger compartment. Remove the seat covers. Disassemble the removed covers into separate elements. Using them, cut out the elements of the new covers.

Step 7

Use fabric-backed leather and foam to add extra reinforcement to some of the seat details. Join the cut leather elements with the foam and sew them together.

Step 8

Glue the folds of the seams of the main elements and sew them with a finishing stitch. Trim the edges with regular scissors. Turn the stitched cover right over and unfold it. Pull it over the seat frame and secure with plastic straps. Dry the cover with a hair dryer and steam with an iron through a cloth.
