How to turn on the ignition without a key can be considered using the example of a VAZ-2109 car. Remove the plastic half-shell on the steering column. Open the ignition switch with wires. Pull off the chips, then short-circuit the positive wire (in all cars, thick red) and the ignition wire. Short with the starter control wire until the engine starts. Then move the starter control wire to the side. If you have any difficulties, and you cannot determine which wire is responsible for the starter, and which for the ignition, look at the wiring diagram of your vehicle. If there is no wiring diagram, you can try the wire selection method.
Step 2
It is also possible to start similar vehicles with an ignition switch. For example, VAZ 2101-2115, etc. As well as foreign analogues: Audi 80, Audi 90, Audi 100, Audi 200, BMW 3 (E-21, 30, 36, 46), BMW 5 (E-12, 28, 34, 39), BMW 6 (E-24), BMW 7 (E-23, 32, 38), BMW 8 (E-31), Mercedes 190, Mercedes 124, Mercedes 126, etc.
Step 3
If you start the engine, that is, as they say, half the battle. Remember to keep the steering wheel locked. This means that you will not be able to leave in this car.

In cars that do not have ignition locks, the engines are started with a key or button, but in such cars, a chip or a key with an immobilizer is needed - an electronic mechanism that immobilizes the vehicle (English immobilizer - "immobilizer"). Such a device is found in cars: BMW X3, BMW X5, BMW X6, Mercedes C-class, etc. In case of failure of the ignition button, you will need to contact the company center to replace it, where you can also find out the prices for this type of work. If you try to perform the same operation as with the lock, the engine may not start (on certain models, for example, Audi Q7, Volvo-XC70, BMW-7 series (E-65), etc.).
