Step 1

When choosing an adhesive, in any case, do not use products such as "Moment". When heated in the sun, the adhesive coating becomes toxic and therefore unsafe to health. Step 3
If you are a beginner, start hauling the cabin with small, uncomplicated details. They can be handles, fragments of thresholds, inserts on the doors, plastic lining of the gearshift lever. As you gain experience, start working with large and complex interior elements - dashboard, ceiling.
Step 4
Don't be afraid of intricate details. Carpet has good elongation. That is why they can paste over a wide variety of details without any difficulties, unlike leather and suede. Step 5
Before pasting any part, remove it whenever possible. This will not only improve the quality of work, but also protect adjacent surfaces from possible damage, and also make the process more convenient. Step 6
After removing the part, prepare it for work. Remove old upholstery, paint off, clean off dirt. Sand the plastic parts. Be sure to degrease with refined gasoline. Measure, cut and cut out the desired piece of carpet. If necessary, tighten a part of a complex shape in several stages.
Step 7
Apply adhesive to the back of the upholstery and to the part to be pasted. Then immediately begin to carefully lay the carpet on the prepared surface, precisely aligning the corners, edges and folds. After that, begin to straighten and roll the material in the direction from the center to the periphery. Roll more carefully at edges, kinks and corners.
Step 8
Before pressing down the carpet completely, soften the adhesive coating with hot air from a hair dryer. Please note that for various reasons, the material will not fit perfectly in all places. In some places you will have to pull it, often very strongly. When re-installing the overtightened part, the clearances will naturally decrease due to the increased thickness. Grind down the plastic or trim the upholstery carefully if necessary.
