Necessary

  • - airbrush;
  • - compressor;
  • - hose;
  • - dye;
  • - varnish;
  • - polishing paste;
  • - thick paper or cardboard;
  • - wet wipes;
  • - Scotch;
  • - sandpaper;
  • - scissors.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose tools for drawing. You will need a small compressor with a built-in relay. Purchase an external spray airbrush equipped with a special needle. The kit also usually includes a hose, funnel, connector and airbrush cleaning accessories. Choose the paint taking into account the peculiarities of the pattern that you intend to apply to the car.

Step 2

Decide on the choice of image. You can save time and effort if you simulate the drawing on a computer and correlate it with the color of the body. If you are airbrushing for the first time, do not try to use too many colors. It will be enough to be limited to two or three colors.

Step 3

Make a stencil. To do this, you can use thick paper, thin cardboard, special film or foil. Draw on the selected material the contours of the design and cut the resulting image along the inner lines.

Step 4

Prepare the car body. It should be cleaned of dirt, wiped with a degreasing agent and covered with a primer. Wait until the primer is completely dry. For better paint application, it is best to apply a primer in two or even three thin coats.

Step 5

Attach the stencil of the drawing to the selected surface of the car with tape. Start painting the outline of the drawing with an airbrush. This should be done without haste, observing accuracy. Avoid sagging paint. To draw high-quality details of the image, use an additional light source, directing it to the working area.

Step 6

When the drawing is ready, let it dry, and then carefully detach the stencil from the body. Now the finished image can be coated with a layer of protective varnish and polished. The airbrushed drawing will be a stylish and original decoration for your car.
