Despite the fact that in our country now you can choose a car of almost any brand and class, many of our compatriots buy cars abroad, for example, in Germany. Accordingly, motorists are wondering how to bring a car from Germany to Russia. It is quite possible to do this.
It is necessary
You will need an international driver's license, foreign currency bank card and a foreign visa
Instructions
Step 1
Our domestic "budget" driving licenses are not valid abroad. Therefore, the first step is to get an international driving license.
Step 2
Order a currency card from the bank, put the amount on the car plus travel expenses.
Step 3
Choose a car. Try to select multiple "candidates". Nowadays, most of the shops and car markets have their own sites and, with an effort, you can easily pick up a few cars. It is advisable that they are located not far from each other - this way you will need less time for internal movements.
Step 4
Contact the German consulate for a visa.
Step 5
Lay out the route how you will transport the car from Germany to Russia. This can be done by land via Poland and Belarus or by water on a ferry from Rostock to St. Petersburg.
Step 6
In Germany, take a close look at all the cars that you have selected online. Bargain calmly - both in showrooms and at car markets, this is normal. Choosing between buying from a store or from a private person - stop at a store.
Step 7
After making a purchase, depending on the chosen route, you either drive the car to the port, or start a walk around Europe.
Step 8
When you arrive in Russia, pay the duty and register the car with the traffic police.
