Instructions

Step 1

Before starting work, purchase all the necessary accessories from a specialized store: a throttle gasket, a carburetor cleaning spray, WD-40, spark plugs and a Phillips screwdriver. Then open the hood and disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

Step 2

Disconnect the air duct from the air filter. Remove the filter housing if necessary. Next, remove the thin ventilation hose. The thick hose must also be removed from the ventilation valve. Detach the retaining clip and set it aside immediately to avoid losing it.

Step 3

Carefully disconnect the idle speed control connector and use a hex screwdriver to remove the bolts that secure the idle speed control. Be careful not to lose the rubber ring that is underneath. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector. Move aside the fuel pipes that are attached to the throttle body.

Step 4

Remove the screws securing the throttle body to the receiver, and remove the thin gasket that is between the receiver and the throttle. Then remove the throttle assembly. Using a carburetor cleaning spray, clean all visible holes in the assembly and the idle speed control needle, which is holding the valve down. Make sure that no liquid gets inside.

Step 5

Carefully remove all dirt and oil from the cavity. At the same time, wash the idle air control valve and its seat, as well as the places where the damper is adjacent to the body. Blow out all removed parts with compressed air and reassemble in reverse order. Inspect the work area for small parts left behind. Remember that when buying a new throttle assembly, you must carefully look at the marking - it should be the same as that of the old assembly
