The dashboard of any car carries several functions. It helps the driver to keep track of the car and its characteristics. The dashboard also has an aesthetic function, as the "torpedo" helps to create coziness and comfort in the front seats of the car. Changing your dashboard is easy, but swapping with a dashboard from another car can require electrical knowledge.
Instructions
Step 1
The car dashboard is attached with special latches and sometimes self-tapping screws. They are located at the edges. After unscrewing the screws and bending the latches, gently pick up the panel. For the convenience of removing the tidy, remove the steering wheel. When removing the "torpedo", first remove the instruments. Disconnect the chips from them. Now proceed to remove the entire panel.
Step 2
After removing the dashboard, cover the wiring diagram to avoid contact with water, dust and debris. Insert the dashboard into the new "torpedo". If you are changing the panel from another car, then take care of buying new devices and their wiring diagram.
Step 3
Proceed to insert a new panel. To do this, gently lean the panel against the vehicle. Now insert the wires to the devices on the "torpedo". When using devices from another car, take care of the correct connection diagram. Then carefully slide the dashboard on. Now you just have to screw the panel with screws.
