In modern car radio, as a rule, it is installed directly at the manufacturing plant, but often a standard factory-assembled device does not support the desired audio file format. Therefore, on the Gazelle minibus, its owners are often forced to install a new car radio with their own hands.
Instructions
Step 1
Before installing the radio tape recorder on the Gazelle, dismantle the old device installed in production conditions by the manufacturer. Using a screwdriver, carefully unscrew the frame of the car radio, and then very carefully remove the plugs from this audio device. Reversing this step may damage both the cover and the frame of such equipment. Remove the frame only with your hands without using excessive physical force, while it is not recommended to pry on a fragile part with a screwdriver or other tool, since such an element of the car radio is very easy to break.
Step 2
Remove the middle part of the frame located under the climate control unit, and after removing this element, unscrew the lower part of the part. To put the radio tape recorder on the Gazelle, pull out its entire frame, having previously pulled out the cup holders. Prepare a file with which you will process the place in the cabin where the new type of radio is installed. If, when dismantling the device, you notice that the mounting place for the car radio is characterized by slightly rounded dividers, it will have to be preliminarily modified.
Step 3
Using a needle file, slowly work the corners until they become straight, several times "trying on" the device in the mounting place. When the new radio tape recorder becomes free to enter the hole prepared for it, the processing can already be completed. Pull out the wires under the climate control system and then install the car radio. If the necessary audio preparation has already been carried out at the factory, it is recommended to read the instructions for the new radio tape recorder, since all the wires are already in the right place and the device will only need to be disconnected correctly.
Step 4
In the case when the Gazelle car is not prepared for the installation of an auto sound system, it is necessary to be guided by the color of the wires. In this case, lead the black wire to "-" in relation to the battery terminal, and connect the red and yellow wires to the "+" sign. Output all the wires remaining in the bundle to the speakers of the mounted radio, and the procedure for connecting the wires, depending on their color, is usually clearly prescribed in the instructions for the sound device. Unscrew the screws, remove the piston and cover, then use a wire to attach the speaker to the terminals. Turn on the radio and check how well the new audio device works, and then connect the other speakers to it in the same way.
