If you are assembling an ATV for the first time, please be patient. You will need some knowledge and a great desire to achieve the final result. The process will be difficult, time-consuming, but justifying your efforts and expectations. First of all, keep in mind that the ATV should be lightweight, maneuverable, and have optimal overall dimensions so that it can be transported without any problems. You will need the skills of a welder, turner and engineer.

Instructions

Step 1

Grind bushings for 306 bearings. Make the bushings of steel, use them to attach the bearing to the frame, and then insert two bearings into each wheel hub. Grind the outer sleeve 4 mm thick and 2 mm wider than the bearing width. Let the width of the inner diameter correspond to the outer width of 306, but leave a tolerance for the fit, you need 4 pieces of such bushings, and 4 pieces that are twice as wide as 306, but with the same thickness. Make the inner sleeve on the outside with a diameter equal to the inner diameter of bearing 306, and make the inner diameter equal to the outer splines of the CV joint, with a width like 306, you need 4 pieces of such sleeves, and 4 pieces are twice as wide as bearing 306. In total, you use 12 pieces of bearings and 16 bushings.

Step 2

Take a 25 by 25 profile and cut it into 1, 3 m - 4 pieces, and between the two profiles, install narrow outer clips designed for the inner CV joints. Maintain the distance between the front and rear clips of 0.85 m, and 10 cm between the left and right clips. Align the clips coaxially.

Step 3

From 4 "killed" CV joints, pull out the middle with internal splines, weld them in pairs. Put one pair in front and one back. You need to grind these insides on a lathe so that you can put on Izhevsk stars with 21 teeth. Place two 35 mm chainrings on the rear axle. Place one sprocket and add a brake disc from any moped to the front axle. Your task is to choose a disk 2 times the size of a star. Choose a distance of 35 mm between them, weld the stars, and make an adapter under the disc, weld it. Now screw on the disc. You should get a frame with 4 bearings, 4 CV joints.

Step 4

The future transmission scheme is that torque is transmitted from the engine shaft to the gearbox, then goes to the rear axle, and from the rear axle is fed through a chain to the front axle.

Step 5

Lay out the parts using self-tapping screws. Twist around the perimeter to get a matrix into which the parts will enter. Make the front levers from a 17 by 17 profile, for the rear, use Zhiguli jet rods. From the 20th profile, weld the mountings for the levers across the frame, drill holes in them. Weld additional profiles, drill holes in them for adjusting bolts, cut the arm mountings, use larger or smaller washers to change the camber.
