In many farms, a large number of tractor operations are carried out during the winter period. And if your region has harsh winter climatic conditions, then before starting to start the tractor in frost, it is imperative to warm up the engine and components systems.
Instructions
Step 1
Remember: Tractors almost always come with individual heating systems. With their help, it is possible to bring the fluid in the cooling system and the crankcase oil of the tractor to the required temperatures for the smooth start of the engine in severe frosts. This preheating system provides preparation of the tractor engine for direct start-up in half an hour, even in minus 40-degree frosts. Currently on the market you can find several different types of preheaters, the difference between which is their algorithm of action during operation. The methods of starting the engine using the heating system also depend on the tractor model itself. If your tractor is equipped with a closed fluid system with forced circulation, then the preheating system includes a blower, a burner and a heating boiler.
Step 2
Thoroughly flush the heating boiler, then clean the burner from carbon deposits. Connect the blower motor to a 12 volt circuit to make sure it is working properly. In this case, the wire with "minus" must be connected to the body, and with "plus" - to the terminal of the electric motor. Open the plug on the heating boiler before starting the engine and drain the accumulated fuel. Next, close the plug and turn on the tap.
Step 3
Prepare water to fill the system. Open the dampers of the blower and the boiler exhaust pipe. Then, install the heating system fuel valve so that it is in the open position. Next, turn on the glow plug for about one minute.
Step 4
Turn on the blower motor - set the switch knob strictly in the "start" position for 3-4 seconds, then slowly begin to move it to the "work" position. Then fill the individual heating system with water, pouring it through the neck. Warm up the engine to 80-90 degrees, and then start it.
