When buying an expensive foreign car on credit, the contract specifies a clause on the mandatory installation of an often very complex alarm system on the car. The bank that issued the loan thus protects its investment. But the motorists themselves are trying to ensure the safety of their "iron horse". Some drivers take the car to the service for this, while others set the alarm on their own.

Instructions
Step 1
Start with preparatory work. Take the instructions for the anti-theft system, check for the necessary connectors and terminals. Inspect the wires not the subject of their safety, especially carefully examine possible traces of twisting. If any are found, feel the wire for a possible break in the inner cord. Such a break indicates an inoperative state of the wire and the need to replace it.
Step 2
Proceed with the installation of the system components. Start with the electronic control unit, securing it with self-tapping screws. Next, you need to take care of a special interrupting relay for the starter. Pay attention to the next element of the security system - the valet button.
Step 3
Set up the "valet" button so as to ensure maximum concealment of the location. "Valet" is a very important function, with the help of which, in the event of an emergency, the entire anti-theft system or only one of its units can be turned off. It is clear that a car burglar, having climbed into the car, will also not mind using "valet". That is why the button must be placed so that only a motorist knows about its existence
Step 4
Install the shock sensor. Secure it by choosing a knot of stable stiffness. You should not put the sensor on a car body element, which dampens the amplitude of the oscillation. Otherwise, the operation of the device will be ineffective. Note the fact that the sensor also has some sensitivity settings. Too "sensitive" sensor will certainly cause a conflict with neighbors, as the car will howl a siren for any reason.
Step 5
Install the siren horn under the hood. It is better to find an accessible place, since in case of an abnormal operation of the protection system, a roaring siren is a factor that does not contribute to the calmness of others, especially at night. And if it is impossible to turn off the siren in another way, you will have to cut the power wires.
Step 6
Install an additional warning system about burglary or attempted theft of the car, if the purchased alarm system allows it. Place the duplicate horn discreetly so that it is not conspicuous. Typically, the design of a redundant siren implies the presence of an additional power circuit or autonomous operation.
