When preparing a car for operation in the autumn-winter period, every motorist knows that along with replacing summer tires with winter ones, it is necessary to pour an anti-freeze liquid into the washer reservoir, as it is also called: “anti-freeze. Of course, you can buy and fill it, or you can do it yourself.
It is necessary
- - distilled water
- - isopril alcohol
Instructions
Step 1
Non-freezing glass cleaning liquid is a solution of a liquid substance with a low freezing point. It contains organic substances based on alcohol. For these purposes, alcohol can be used: ethyl (bioethanol), isopril and methyl.
Step 2
Due to the fact that when using methyl alcohol, it is possible for methanol vapors to enter the passenger compartment, and this can lead to poisoning of the driver and passengers, in Russia its use in household chemicals is prohibited.
Step 3
The use of bioethanol or ethyl alcohol as a basis allows obtaining high-quality products, it does not pose a serious danger to the human body, but it is costly from a financial point of view.
Step 4
Isopril alcohol, incorporated in the basis of antifreeze liquid, is less dangerous (dangerous if used internally) than methyl alcohol, a liquid based on it cleans well and is more attractive in price. Isopril alcohol is a good solvent for essential oils, alkaloids, its use reduces flammability, and is widely used in household chemicals. It is used as a substitute for ethyl alcohol.
Step 5
Get isopril alcohol. To obtain the required concentration of antifreeze liquid, buy (collect) water. Remember, it is better to use filtered or distilled water, it will glass scratches or other nuisances.
Step 6
Dilute isopril alcohol with water in a 1: 1 ratio, so as not to weigh, take it in a volume ratio.
Step 7
Add a surfactant for a good washing effect, you can liquid soap or car shampoo - up to 2% by volume.
Step 8
Add fragrance, if desired, to remove the smell of alcohol.
