Poorly visible on the road at night? This means that you need to connect an additional light source - fog lights. It turns out it's not difficult at all.

How to connect fog lights

Necessary

  • - fog lights
  • - wires
  • - relay with socket
  • - block with a fuse 15-20A
  • - button or toggle switch for turning on and off the headlights (if the standard one is not provided)
  • - drill or screwdriver
  • - side cutters
  • - screwdriver
  • - black electrical tape
  • - corrugation and clamps

Instructions

Step 1

Insert the headlights into the special niches in the bumper and secure. Or screw onto the place of your choice.

There are 2 wires (+ and -) from each headlight. Connect one wire from each headlight to ground (screw it under any bolt on the car body), and the other to the relay. Pre-insert the relay into the block. Power to the relay is taken from the battery through the fuse block. The relay serves to unload the on / off button from voltage. If the relay is not connected, the button will not withstand the load and will burn out. The relay can be installed next to the battery or pulled into the passenger compartment under the torpedo. From the relay, stretch the wires into the passenger compartment and connect them to the fog lamp on / off button. You can stretch the wires into the passenger compartment through the passage along which the standard wires of the car go.

Step 2

Lay the fog lamp wires in the corrugation and pull them with clamps to the standard wiring.
