Lada Kalina in the basic configuration does not have installed fog lights and wires for them. The installation of these lighting devices is carried out independently and takes very little time.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a set of fog lights, preferably imported, that will serve you for a long time. Do not forget to buy wiring, which is necessary for a high-quality connection of headlights. Also buy lamp connectors, power button and relays. Stock up on the necessary tools: a screwdriver, screws for fastening and sandpaper.
Step 2
Install the power button to any convenient location on the dashboard. Install the relay in the relay and fuse box in its original place. Connect a wire from the battery to pin 31 on the relay, from pin 87 connect the wire directly to the headlamp. Connector 85 is responsible for turning on the light when the button is pressed. Do not forget to connect the ground wire to the 86 contact.
Step 3
Paint the frames the same color as the car body. Pre-sand the surface with sandpaper, degrease and apply a primer. After the paint is dry, cover the frame with varnish. If you wish, cover the headlights with a special film that protects the glass from impacts and hits from various objects.
Step 4
Place the car on supports, having previously lifted it on a jack. Remove the wheel from the headlight installation side and detach the wheel arch liner. Remove the bumper cover and install the fog lamp from the inside. Be sure to secure it with self-tapping screws. Replace the painted frame and connect the electrical connector to the lamp, then install the wheel arch liner and wheel.
Step 5
Install and connect the second fog lamp in the same way. After all the work done, turn on the ignition and check the performance of the new devices by pressing the power button. Do not forget to carry out headlight adjustments, which can be done at a car service for a reasonable fee.
