Every motorist with many years of experience in driving a vehicle notes that the longer the period of operation of the car, the worse its stability on the road becomes during movement. A similar phenomenon occurs due to an effect called "metal fatigue". Old age has a negative impact not only on living organisms. As scientists have found out, steel structures are also subject to it.

Necessary

  • - a set to strengthen the front suspension;
  • - a set of locksmith tools.

Instructions

Step 1

It is most convenient to install the front wheel spacer on cars of the "classic series" of the Volzhsky Automobile Plant on a viewing hole or a lift. From the bottom, the master dismantles the anti-roll bar from the car and installs the brackets from the purchased kit designed to strengthen the front suspension of the car.

Step 2

Then the spacers are screwed onto the threaded ends to the end of the nut and the inner washers are installed, after which the elastic sleeves are put on. Next, the spacer, together with the bushings, is inserted into the pre-installed brackets, and external washers are put on its ends. Then the nuts are screwed on a little, literally a few turns.

Step 3

After the wizard has completed the described actions, the spacer is fastened to the suspension arms, after which an additional bracket is installed on it for attaching the anti-roll bar. After installing the specified stabilizer, the final tightening of all fasteners of the installed device, designed to strengthen the front suspension of the car, is performed.

Step 4

After carrying out such tuning, it is advisable to visit a car service station by car in order to determine, and possibly adjust, the angles of convergence and camber of the front wheels of the car.
