- - charger - for example "Cedar" with an automatic cycle mode, excluding overcharging
- - desulfurizing additive added to the electrolyte
- - pipette and small enema

Step 1
Most often, the battery is damaged by improper operation. Standing in traffic jams in winter with headlights, a fan, heated rear window, and a radio tape recorder on in winter exhaust it so much that it becomes impossible to restart the engine. Forgetfulness of drivers who leave the dimensions on for a long time also lead to problems when the car's starter is turned on.
If its capacity has decreased due to prolonged discharge, sulfation of the plates, a long charge-discharge cycle will help bring it back to life.
Step 2
"Resuscitation" should be started with flushing the battery with distilled water, pouring out the old electrolyte. Turn over and shake all debris out of it. And then, point by point:

Dilute the additive in the electrolyte and pour it into the battery.
Step 4
Connect the charger (do not tighten the filler caps!) And start the charge-discharge cycle in automatic mode.
Step 5
Carry out the cycle until the voltage at the terminals reaches 13, 8-14, 2 volts.
Step 6
Discharge the battery through a connected bulb to a voltage of 10.8 volts.
Step 7
Start the charge-discharge cycle again, note the charging time and the value of the charging current. Multiply, determine the capacity of the battery. After reaching the nominal capacity, complete the restoration.
