Step 1

The Family Code (article 34) treats a car that is acquired in marriage as any other joint property. According to the law, the number of owners of any property is unlimited, therefore, if it is necessary to register a car for two, then this must be indicated in the purchase and sale agreement and in the Title Deed. In addition, each of the spouses can use the common property equally - it is enough to indicate the date of registration of the marriage and the date of registration of the vehicle in the certificate.

Lawyers insist that according to the law, a document of title to a car is a contract, PTS only confirms the right of ownership. It is in it that you can indicate all the owners of this property, but, nevertheless, one owner is indicated. Registration with the traffic police is carried out so that the vehicle can become a road user, nothing more.

If the car is purchased by people who are not married, then it must be registered as joint property. Carefully consider drawing up the contract - it must indicate the shares of each of the owners - if this is not indicated, then the law provides for the right to own property equally. The vehicle is an indivisible property, so each of the owners has the right to buy or sell their part.
