Instructions
Step 1
Park your vehicle on a level surface. An overpass or pit is ideal, since in this case there will be access not only to the upper, but also to the lower parts of the engine compartment.
Step 2
Open the hood and find the washer fluid reservoir. It usually has a blue lid. However, not all cars have the ability to dismantle the tank through the hood. For example, on a Daewoo Nexia car, the washer reservoir is located under the front fender of the car. The tank is disguised with a mudguard. In this case, you need to remove the wheel and mudguard to gain full access to the reservoir.
Step 3
Read the manual for your car. It should indicate the location of the washer reservoir. If you do not find the necessary information in the manual, then refer to the forum dedicated to your car model. There you will definitely find comprehensive information.
Step 4
Remove the bolts and nuts that secure the tank body to the vehicle body. Do not jerk the loose tank, as it is held by the wires of the electric pump, as well as thin hoses. The hoses should be disconnected by opening the clamps holding them. If the clips are disposable, then you should buy new ones. If water is poured in the tank, then you can safely disconnect the hoses. If you have a coolant poured, then try to substitute a container under the tank so that the harmful composition does not fall on the ground. Locate the pump connector and disconnect it. Take out the tank.
Step 5
Install the tank in the reverse order. After complete installation, fill with glass cleaner to the maximum level. Please note that leaks near the reservoir do not always indicate a malfunction. Poorly attached hoses may leak. Try not to drive with an empty tank so bad weather doesn't catch you off guard.
