For car owners who spend a lot of time on the road, music becomes a faithful companion that can brighten any distance. The choice of a speaker system is quite difficult, as the clarity of the sound depends on the quality of the speaker. Today, manufacturers present two types of speaker systems to motorists: coaxial and component.

Coaxial acoustics

A coaxial speaker system implies a common basket with speakers for low, mid and high frequencies, i.e. this system has a single base for different types of speakers. The advantages of this system are ease of installation due to standard speaker sizes, as well as space savings. In addition, such systems are affordable. All these qualities make the coaxial loudspeaker the most popular of all installed loudspeakers in cars.

This speaker is easy to purchase, easy to install. But it also has disadvantages - it needs a high-quality frequency filter, otherwise, instead of the desired music, you will hear an incomprehensible set of sounds. A good crossover is quite expensive and in order for the music to sound really high quality you will have to spend a lot.

Component acoustics

A component speaker system is represented by a set of speakers of different frequency ranges that must be placed separately in different parts of the car, usually a two-way system. Most cars have component speaker holes. These are, for example, openings in the side doors of the car for woofers and midrange speakers, and tweeters can be located in the front or rear.

If there are no such holes, then the motorist will have to make them on their own. If you have a subwoofer, everything is complicated by the fact that you also have to find a place for it in the car. All of this suggests that there is a lot of hassle with the installation of a component speaker system, with the correct placement of the speakers. But if everything is done correctly, the user will end up with excellent sound quality across the entire frequency range. Component speakers cost a lot more than coaxial ones, but the sound quality is worth it.

How to make a choice

If you do not have a lot of free time and do not like to fiddle with the installation of various systems, with all this you want to get a speaker system of acceptable quality, then you can choose coaxial acoustics of the middle and higher price range. They are multi-band and equipped with quality filters.

If you like high-quality music and do not mind spending quite a lot of time installing and configuring the system, then purchase high-quality component acoustics. When set up correctly, it will reward you with the first-class sound of your favorite tunes.
