Step 2

Look where the oil filter is located and unscrew it from the engine. Grasp it tightly with your hands and rotate slowly. If you cannot remove the filter yourself, use a special filter remover. There is likely to be some oil left in the filter, so be careful not to spill it.
Step 5
Take new oil. Any modern synthetic or semi-synthetic oil from Castrol is suitable for the Opel Astra car. Mobil. Ultron in the range of 5w30, 5w40, 5w-50, 10w40. Fill in some new oil and take the dipstick located in front of the engine on the side. Wipe it with a paper towel or clean cotton rag. Insert it all the way, wait a little and remove the dipstick again.
Step 6
Determine the oil level on the scale, if it is between two divisions - everything is in order. In the event that the dipstick does not reach the lower division or the oil level indicator light comes on, add a little more. Use a funnel when pouring oil. Do not pour too much, the level should not exceed the Max mark on the dipstick.
