Unfortunately, today the coverage of most roads, especially in rural areas, leaves much to be desired, so you can only move along them in the summer and when there is no rain. That is why many compatriots show an increased interest in all-terrain vehicles, moreover, some of them make them with their own hands, for example, on the basis of an UAZ.
It is necessary
- - corrugated duralumin sheets;
- - screws M5;
- - rubber or metal pads;
- - synthetic rugs;
- - triplex glass;
- - foam rubber;
- - soft plastic;
- - sealant;
- - cardan shaft from the "Volga";
- - instruments.
Instructions
Step 1
The body of the all-terrain vehicle consists of a frame and outer skin. The frame must be made of strong steel pipes, because it will bear a significant load on it. Naturally, you can use the body of the UAZ.
Step 2
The floor in the cabin and the hood lining of the all-terrain vehicle are made of a special material - corrugated duralumin. The thickness of the used sheets of corrugated duralumin should be 1.5-2 mm. Fasten these sheets to the frame using M5 screws with countersunk heads, and cover all joints formed between the corrugated aluminum with metal or rubber pads.
Step 3
Cover the inside of the cabin with thin foam rubber and soft plastic. Use triplex glass for glazing the ATV.
Step 4
Complete the doors with an additional seal, and cover the floor with special synthetic mats. All this will minimize the noise level and prevent the penetration of dust into the passenger compartment.
Step 5
Use the seats from UAZ. Behind the rear passenger seats, place the fuel tank with a neck (45 liters capacity) at the bottom, leading to the outside, and place the inner luggage compartment above the tank.
Step 6
Consider wheel camber when assembling the front axle of this ATV. First of all, weld the lower, and to them the ball bearings. Attach the front and rear axles to the frame using bolts, clamps and telescopic shock absorbers.
Step 7
The torque from the engine of the all-terrain vehicle to its rear axle can be transmitted by a cardan shaft from the Volga. The choice of this particular element is due to its simplicity, reliability and ease of installation. However, there is one important nuance: the mounting holes of the propeller shaft from the Volga and the UAZ engine may not match, so grind adapters to the flanges of the axle and gearbox.
