There are different models of rear view cameras. You can connect them both to a TV set and to a separate monitor or radio tape recorder. In this case, the radio tape recorder must have a good display and be able to do this kind of connections.
It is necessary
- - rear view camera with a connection kit;
- - radio tape recorder with a monitor.
Instructions
Step 1
The rear view camera must have three wires. Red - positive wire for power connection. Black is the negative power lead. Yellow - to make a video connection. Connect the red and black wires to the reversing light. In this case, the camera will work only when the reverse speed is turned on. Almost all camera models are designed for short-term use when parking, the mode of continuous operation disables them.
Step 2
Be careful when making the connection. Incorrect connection will damage the camera and / or radio, although some camera models are protected against incorrect connection. In rare cases, the positive lead of the camera is fitted with a built-in fuse. Therefore, when connecting, provide short-circuit protection with a 0.5 A fuse.
Step 3
Connect the yellow wire with one connector to the camera, the other to the special output of the radio. You can find the desired exit according to the instructions for the radio tape recorder, or according to the designations on the back of the device. If the radio tape recorder does not have a dedicated connector, connect the yellow cable to the output labeled VIDEO IN.
Step 4
The latest camera models use wireless image transmission technology instead of coaxial video cable. A signal receiver and transmitter must be included with the camera. Install the camera and connect the power to it. Connect the transmitter to the camera according to the manufacturer's instructions. Connect the receiver to the radio tape recorder through the connector labeled VIDEO IN or through a dedicated output. When you turn on the camera, the image will automatically appear on the display of the radio.
Step 5
After completing all the connections, carefully insulate the wire connections by overlapping with electrical tape. Check the power supply connections again to avoid short circuits. Check the operation of the system in all modes.
