CASCO registration by an individual

In order for an individual to issue a CASCO policy, like any other insurance, the following documents will be needed: Title or vehicle registration certificate, driver's license of the owner and persons allowed to drive a car.

If the car was not purchased in the salon, then the representative of the insurance company will have to inspect the vehicle and take photographs.

The car for which the insurance is issued must be registered in the territory of the Russian Federation. In addition, it must have transit or permanent numbers, belong to an individual - a citizen of the Russian Federation, and also be used for personal purposes and not be leased.

CASCO for legal entities

In the case of CASCO registration by a legal entity, the requirements will be slightly different. In order to conclude a contract, the insurance company must provide a certificate of registration of a legal entity and indicate the company's details. In addition, you will need a PTS or a vehicle registration certificate, a power of attorney in the case of insurance for a person who is not the owner of the car. Also, when concluding a CASCO agreement, you must provide a document proving the identity of the policyholder (passport).

You will not need to take repeated photos and provide the car for inspection in case of renewal of the contract.

In either case, if a duplicate PTS was previously issued or an autorun system was installed on the car, an agreement with the insurance company will be required. When concluding a CASCO insurance contract, it is necessary to provide originals of all documents. In addition, additional documents may be required, of which the employees of the insurance company will notify the client.

Having decided on the insurance company, the application for CASCO registration can be filled out on the insurer's website. During a personal visit to the office in order to avoid problems in the future, it will be useful to find out what the company considers an insured event and what does not. In addition, it is worth checking the correctness of filling out the form. The document must contain information about the insurance company, data of the insured and the owner of the car, the coverage area of the insurance policy, validity period, insurance risks and the amount of the contract, as well as data of the vehicle, persons allowed to drive.
