Although it is certainly not easy after the stress suffered during an accident, it is very important, therefore, you need to carefully ensure that all documents that record the picture of the incident are filled out accurately and correctly and give a complete picture of what happened without any deviations.

Before the arrival of the traffic police, you must put the car on the handbrake, press the alarm button. You should not move the car to free the passage for another car, since first the position of the injured vehicle must be documented.

Primary documentation in case of an accident

1. Scheme of the place of committing an administrative offense. This document reflects:

- the place of the accident (this is a part of a road, a street in a city or town, suburban areas, etc.);

- features of the roadway in particular (width, direction of movement, number of lanes, roadway markings, signs that are related to this section of the road on which the accident occurred, traffic lights);

- road structures (protective fences and bumpers, bus stops, lawns, sidewalks, safety islands and other structures);

- vehicle and its position after the accident (braking distance, detailed location of parts that separated from the vehicle during the impact).

All actions and their priority are controlled by a traffic police officer, he carries out his activities until the arrival of the investigation team. It also happens that not all participants in an accident agree with the wording and presentation of the accident scheme. In this case, the persons who took part in the incident may not sign it, but only in the presence of attesting witnesses, in order to exclude the possibility of falsification of the document, and to record the very fact of refusal to sign.

2. Report. This document will record all information that is relevant to the incident and that is important to the overall clarity and integrity of the picture.

3. Testimony of the participants in the accident and the testimony of witnesses who saw the accident.

4. Certificate of accident. This is an approved form document. A copy of this document is attached to the case, and there is also a note on it that all participants in the incident received this document in their hands. All documentary manipulations of an accident are performed by a traffic police officer.

It is worth noting that very often there are cases that administrative responsibility has not been established for violation of traffic rules, and therefore the traffic police officers, in the prescribed manner, record a refusal to initiate an offense case. However, it can be exactly the opposite, and then a decision-receipt or a protocol is drawn up, or there can be a decision on an administrative violation. All controversial issues are resolved by conducting additional examinations and in a procedural manner.
