Drivers of cars, getting into a traffic accident, in order to obtain insurance must have a clear plan of action. This will allow you to avoid many troubles and losses during the further registration of the insured event.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the insurance company where you received the CTP policy. The phone number is usually indicated in the upper left corner of it or in the list of representatives, which is issued along with the policy. Inform the operator about the time, place of the accident and the circumstances that caused it. Usually the insurer takes on the call of the traffic police crew and doctors. If it is not possible to call the insurers, call the police or the rescue service yourself.
Step 2
Exchange data on insurance companies with other road accident participants.
Step 3
Try to find at least two witnesses to the incident and write down their data in the accident notice, ask the police to enter them in the future and in the protocol.
Step 4
Fill out the incident report form according to the instructions on the back. This document will help you get insurance in case of an accident.
Step 5
The traffic police officer who arrived at the scene draws up a diagram of the incident and a protocol on the offense. Before signing, you need to carefully study them and make sure that they correspond to the real situation. In the case when the inspector could not identify the culprit of the accident on the spot, the protocol is not drawn up, but an administrative investigation is appointed.
Step 6
At the end of the road accident registration, the inspector must issue the following documents to each of the participants:
- a copy of the offense protocol (if it was drawn up). Even when you are a victim, be sure to claim a copy.
- a certificate of participation in an accident. The victim should ensure that all visible damage is indicated in the text and that there is a reference to possible hidden defects.
Step 7
You must submit the entire package of documents to the insurance company. This is given five working days.
Step 8
Submit the damaged car to the insurance company for the organization of an examination and damage assessment. It must be carried out by them within five days.
Step 9
The insurer company, having received the documents, must, within fifteen working days, draw up and deliver you a statement of the insured event. It is on the basis of it that you can get insurance in case of an accident in whole or in part.
