Many car owners dream of tinted glass of their car. This is a perfectly justified step. A car is a small piece of its own territory and it is not very pleasant to feel someone's views on itself. Also, toning protects the interior from direct rays, that is, the interior does not fade. But for tinting glass in the service you will be charged a considerable amount. Why pay for something you can do with your own hands?

It is necessary

tint film, utility knife or scissors, rubber spatula, cotton cloth, soapy water solution

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to choose a tint film. Now on the shelves of automotive stores you can find a huge selection of different films of all types and colors. Tinting films of a domestic manufacturer are in no way inferior to imported ones. It is best to buy regular black film, as other colors refract sunlight, which can negatively affect the driver. You also need to decide on the percentage of light transmission of the film. It should be remembered that you can be fined for incorrectly tinted glass.

Step 2

Now prepare the car for gluing. It is best to wash it thoroughly. Pay special attention to the glasses - they must be perfectly clean. Decide on the place where you will tint the car. A garage is suitable for this purpose. It is very difficult to tint on the street, since dust can get under the film when glued and spoil everything. Garage doors should be closed to prevent dust from blowing out.

Step 3

Remove the film from the packaging. Now you need to cut the film to fit your glass. To do this, lower the glass a little. Spray it liberally with a solution of soapy water, then apply the back of the film. Smooth it out thoroughly so that there are no bubbles or wrinkles on the surface. Carefully mark the border at the top and bottom. Please note that you need to leave a few centimeters below, which will then go under the seal. After that, carefully remove the film from the glass and cut along the marked lines.

Step 4

Now open your car door. Remove the glass and velvet sealant. Wipe the glass surface thoroughly. Make sure not a single speck of dust remains on it. Then cover it liberally with a solution of soapy water. Now remove the protective layer from the tint film and stick it on the glass. Align the edges carefully. Smooth it out so that not a single wrinkle remains. Do not be afraid of small bubbles - they will disappear after drying. When leveling the film, you can use a blow dryer to make the film pliable.

Step 5

Allow the film to dry completely. To do this, leave the car in the garage overnight. You should also refrain from completely lowering the glasses for the first day or two, so as not to damage the not completely dried film.
