Oka, or VAZ-11113, our Russian passenger car, comfortable and almost all-terrain vehicle. Something like this is written in the instruction manual, and each of these definitions is debatable. How many articles have already been written, funny and not so, about little Oka! However, they buy it, and then take care of it and cherish it. Inveterate motorists say that Oka is simply irreplaceable as the first car for auto makers. The same instruction says that Oka can be operated in a wide temperature range from -45 degrees C to +45.

Instructions

Step 1

Car enthusiasts go to whatever they want to keep their car working even in severe frost.

Insulate the radiator. Even an ordinary cardboard box installed in front of the radiator does not allow the motor to cool down quickly. Motorists can insulate the radiator with a thin felt or insulation such as penofol (expanded polyethylene with one-sided foil), which can be purchased at building materials stores. In addition, today special auto blankets are sold at car markets, which are made of heat-insulating moisture-resistant material, withstand temperatures up to +1200 0 C, and improve winter engine start. And one more advice from experienced motorists: be sure to insulate the battery, if it freezes, it will be dangerous to start. You can insulate it with the same felt if the battery does not leak, or put it in a foam box.

Step 2

Replace the rubber seals in the passenger compartment. After some time, the factory rubber "gets tired" and crumbles, microcracks appear. To check the tightness of the interior, drive your Oka under the shower at the car wash. You will immediately understand where it drips from. Just do not try to use chemistry to restore the elasticity of rubber - your own dear. A set of new seals between body parts in the passenger compartment will immediately increase the temperature inside the car by several degrees.

Step 3

To make the car even warmer, glue the car body with thermal insulation materials, for example, tiviplen or penofol. These are materials made on the basis of polyethylene foam with a foil-coated coating that reflects heat radiation.

Step 4

Remove the doors from the car, then dismantle the trim inside, lay the body parts with heat-insulating material cut out according to the template, reinforce the trim in place. Insulate all car doors in the same way.
