Ford Focus II is the second in the Focus range. Modernized, it has acquired a more dynamic look. Combined with the agility and interior trim of the car, the Focus 2 Series is a comfortable car. However, there are some small discomforts.
Instructions
Step 1
It may seem to some that opening the hood with a key is an extremely inconvenient function of a car. But even very comfortable cars have their drawbacks. However, the way to open the hood of the Ford Focus 2 series is external, which provides constant control of the key and the ignition is turned off, if you leave the car, to open the hood and, for example, pour glass washer fluid. The lock is neatly decorated to match the Ford badge. The tight-fitting cover keeps the lock free of moisture and road dirt. To open the hood of the Ford Focus II, you need to place the car key in the lock located in the middle of the hood, just above the radiator. Lift the badge up and turn it to the right. This will release the lock with two arrows and numbers indicating the sequence of movements. Insert the key carefully into the lock.
Step 2
Follow the arrow pointing to the number 1. Apply a little force while turning the key in the lock. Then immediately turn the key the other way - following the arrow to number 2. You must repeat the procedure from 1 to 2 until a click occurs, which means that the hood lock is open.
Step 3
Raise the hood. Holding the hood with your right hand, with your left, reach out to the holder - a metal stand, which is designed to prevent the hood from closing and hold it in a given position. The stand is on the left, closer to the windshield. It is not very convenient to reach behind it in clean clothes, but it is not accidentally located in this way - it perfectly holds the hood lid and allows you to perform various actions (changing the oil, checking the battery sensors, checking the engine operation, etc.). The bonnet support is adjustable depending on the selected position - the holes for the holder are located under the bonnet on the left. Lower the hood onto the holder by selecting one of the holes under the hood.
Step 4
Do not close the hood while the key is in the lock. Remove the key from the lock, turn the cap with the Ford badge to the left. And only after that, carefully lift the hood, remove the holder (fold it). Cover the bonnet, but leave a few centimeters for free fall. Make sure the lock is engaged and the hood is locked.
