Step 1
First, remove the trim from the doors. To do this, unscrew the buttons for closing the door lock, as well as the 2 screws under the pocket on the bottom of the door. Lada Kalina still has a couple of countersunk bolts that need to be unscrewed. One under the cover on the armrest and one inside it. Also unscrew the door opening handle. And after that, you can start removing the skin. Only this must be done very carefully, without jerking sharply towards yourself, because the caps that are on the casing can fly out. And don't forget to unplug the power window connectors and the central locking. After that, you will see the inside of the door.
Step 2
The surface to be insulated must be degreased with a solvent. If the anti-corrosion coating has already appeared, then you need to clean it. Otherwise, the material will not lie flat and will not stick. Then start gluing the insulating material. It is advisable to do this in strips of 10 centimeters. Indeed, in the doors of Lada Kalina there are many technological holes through which it is convenient to pass the material only in strips of medium width. Roll the material as tightly as possible to the surface.
Step 3
Next, you need to attach the actual soundproofing material. It should be cut into a thin piece, 2-3 cm in size. Wrap the wiring in it. And it is also advisable to glue the contact points of the upholstery and the door iron with small pieces of this material. After the material is fixed, you will need to collect everything in the reverse order. No less neat than dismantled.
Step 4
The luggage compartment is soundproofed in the same way as the doors. You need to pull everything out to the very foundation. And then glue over all the protruding parts and cracks that appear when opening with a special material. And then put everything back together. Most importantly, do not forget to hide the wiring under the material so that it does not dangle from above and does not create additional interference. If you do everything carefully, then it will be very pleasant to drive after such a small repair - you will not hear any noise or rattling.
