Step 1

If the car does not move forward or backward, or moves only in a cold state, and as it warms up, slip occurs and increases. When doing this, check the oil level and top up if necessary. If this does not help, change the oil and oil filter. Fill in fresh oil 1, 5-2 cm above the upper mark of the dipstick. If there is no positive effect, replace the clutch friction discs, piston cups and oil sealing rings of these clutches.

Step 2

If there is no movement forward and backward, as well as the presence of extraneous noise and rattling in the machine, check the torque converter. If it is defective, replace it. If the car moves sluggishly forward, does not move backward at all, and when pushing the car with your hands, it cannot be moved from its place, disassemble the box completely and replace all defective parts.

Step 3

If there are all speeds and shifts when moving forward, but there is no movement back, disassemble the box and replace the brake band, as well as the band piston cuffs. In the absence of reverse and 4th gear, as well as slipping when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear, disassemble the box and replace the friction discs and replace the overdrive clutch piston cuffs (4th gear).

Step 4

If gear shifting occurs only at increased engine speed (3500-5000 rpm and more), but there is no clutch slip, check the gear wear. Replace worn parts with new ones. If the oil pressure drops below the norm and the car loses its agility at the beginning of the movement and during gear shifting, disassemble the filter, wash it, clean it and blow it out. If this does not help, replace the oil pump with a new one.

Step 5

If you find metallic noise in the box when the engine is idling, disassemble the box and check the wear of the forward clutch friction plates. Replace discs if necessary. If this does not work, replace the torque converter. If the control selector is no longer set to position P or another position, adjust the gear selector drive.

Step 6

Often, after hitting the pallet of the machine on some solid object, the car stops starting with the key, in any position of the selector. At the same time, try to install the gearbox in its old place. If this fails, adjust the traction and switch in the new position of the box. If, when disassembling the box, metal particles or rollers from the bearing are found, disassemble the box, find the broken bearing and remove it. Also remove the remnants of the broken part and replace with a new one.

Step 7

If, when engaging neutral N, the car starts to move as if 1st gear was engaged, disassemble the box and check the forward clutch friction discs. Replace them if necessary. Another reason may be a violation of the adjustment of the selector drive. Adjust it.

Step 8

Insufficient oil level in the box can cause the machine to slip on hills. Check the oil level and top up to the upper mark. If oil is found in the converter housing, replace the worn oil pump seal. Wear on clutch rollers can cause rolling backward when stopping on a hill. In this case, disassemble the box and replace the clutch.
