It is necessary to change the oil in the engine of the machine to ensure its normal operation. If this is not done on time, then the engine will not be protected from many nuances of operation - dirty and dusty roads, low-quality fuel, etc.
Instructions
Step 1
Before changing the engine oil, you will need the necessary tools: wrenches, a funnel, a canister, new oil, and a flashlight (if needed). The job requires a little effort, and if you can't do it, then it's better to go to a car service.
Step 2
When starting work, you must turn off the engine of your car, as the engine oil heats up very quickly. Then place a canister under the machine so that the oil spills out neatly without messing up the room.
Step 3
Using the key of the size you need, slowly begin to loosen the oil pan plug. When the key is not needed, you can turn the plug with your own hands, but only slowly. When you unscrew the plug, install the drain pan, watch how the oil flows out.
Step 4
When you're done with the used oil, start unscrewing the oil filter. Having loosened it half a turn, remove the key. Unscrew the filter by hand, keeping it in balance.
Step 5
Then you need to lie under the car and install a new oil filter. Connect it to the mounting flange, fix it according to the manufacturer's recommendations. In the future, re-install the hatch or cover that you removed at the very beginning. You need to clean the surface around the lid. There may also be other contaminated areas where oil may have gotten into (do not use water and soap).
Step 6
Get out from under the car and raise the hood: you need to set the location of the oil filler cap. If you have any problems, please refer to the instruction manual. Unscrew the filter cap and slowly start pouring in new oil. It is best to use a funnel to avoid getting dirty.
Step 7
When filling in oil, take into account the dimensions, the norm is approximately from 3 to 6 liters. As you can see, changing the engine oil is not such a difficult procedure.
Step 8
When you're done filling, remove any stains under the hood. And at the end, you can start the engine, but do not increase the revs. It is best to wait for the sensor to display normal oil pressure. While the car is running, look under the car to see if there is any leak? If not, then you have finished your engine oil change well.
