Tinting allows not only to give the car a more aggressive look, but also protects the car from unnecessary eyes. Indeed, often car thefts are carried out after the robber inspects the things inside the cabin. However, you may need information on how to remove the tint film from the glass.
Necessary
An industrial hair dryer, a razor blade, a special scraper or ordinary plastic ruler, detergent, newspapers and rags, water
Instructions
Step 1
Start the procedure for removing the tint film from the top of the glass. Remember, it’s better if you put it down. Using a hair dryer, heat the film, but not all at once, but only a small area. In this case, pay special attention to the edges, because the success of the operation often depends on the quality of their heating.
Step 2
After you have thoroughly warmed up the film, carefully begin to separate its edge from the glass. Be very careful as you risk scratching the glass when using sharp objects. Then slowly pull it down to the edge of the area you were heating. Next, take the hair dryer in your hands again and repeat the steps with a new section of the film. This will remove the entire film. If you find it difficult to detach it from the bottom of the glass, you will have to completely remove it.
Step 3
Carefully inspect the surface that has been removed from the film. On it you will see sticky areas of the glue that needs to be removed. To do this, take a detergent in your hands and apply it to the dirt. Then rub it down with a little effort with a rag or old newspaper. If the adhesive does not come off badly, first heat this area, and then repeat the wiping process.
Step 4
Try applying plain water to the glue spots and scrubbing the area with glass cleaning scrapers. Also pay attention to special fluids that are designed to remove this kind of contamination from the surface of the car. After finishing work, wipe the glass dry with a dry cloth.
