Sooner or later, every motorist is faced with the issue of replacing working fluids in his car. When it comes to changing the oil, it means either the oil in the engine or in the gearbox.
Necessary
keys for "10" and "17", container for waste oil, funnel, screwdriver
Instructions
Step 1
When operating the gearbox of domestic cars, transmission oil is used. The frequency of such an oil change is 75 thousand km. Take the key "10" and unscrew the engine protection mounting nuts located under the front bumper with it. After that, use a screwdriver to unscrew the two bolts securing the protection that are closer to the passenger compartment (in the area of the driver's and front passenger's feet).
Step 2
Remove the protection, place a container into which the used oil will be drained under the gearbox drain hole. This hole is at the bottom of the box next to the left front wheel drive.
Step 3
Unscrew the drain plug of the box with a key "17" and drain the used oil. Be careful! The plug is under pressure, and can easily fall into a container placed for oil, and it will be problematic to remove it from there. After the old oil is completely drained, screw the plug back. Replace the engine guard with the appropriate nuts and bolts.
Step 4
Remove the dipstick from the transmission. It should be located at the top of it, wipe it with a rag in order to use it when measuring the oil level. Then, insert a funnel into the filler hole and fill with new gear oil. In the boxes of front-wheel drive cars of the domestic auto industry, according to the technical characteristics, 3.3 liters of oil are placed. Here it must be borne in mind that there is still a little old oil in the box, about 0.3 liters.
Step 5
Fill in oil just above (about 5 mm) the "max" mark on the dipstick you removed earlier. You will have to wait 2-3 minutes for the oil to drain into the transmission crankcase. To check the oil level, use the dipstick and, if necessary, add oil to the required mark. Remember to replace the engine guard.
