Kia soul
The smallest model, the Soul, opens the crossover line. The history of the Soul model goes back more than 10 years. The Soul first entered the market in 2008, the model was restyled in 2014. The Soul is built on the same basis as the Hyundai i20. Manufacturers position the model as an urban crossover with a five-door hatchback body type. The car is really small in size and is on a par with the Skoda Yeti and Suzuki SX4. But it is much more advantageous than these models in terms of price and maintenance cost.
Kia Soul is supplied to Russia with two types of engine - 1, 6 and 2, 0 liters with a minimum power of 124 hp, there is a model with 204 "horses". The version with a turbodiesel is not so popular in our country, because it only has a mechanical transmission. And the rest of the models can be equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission.
In the basic configuration, the Kia Soul is equipped with electric power steering, front windows, heated seats, electric mirrors and air conditioning. This is a very good power package, given that the cost of such a car starts at 830 thousand rubles, taking into account special offers. Of course, such a model will be on a manual transmission.
The interior of the Soul saloon matches its bright and attractive appearance. The torpedo is trimmed with a colored plastic insert, although this design loses much to the leather version. The rear seats fold down, making the boot larger and increasing its volume to 700 liters.
Kia sportage
Now the third generation of the Sportage crossover is on the market. The popularity of this model gives its intermediate location in the segment of city cars and SUVs. The increased cross-country ability of the Sportage is provided by a complete set with a plug-in all-wheel drive and a two-liter engine, both diesel and gasoline. In total, there are seven modifications of the Kia Sportage with different types of transmissions and power. Minimum 136 hp, maximum 184 hp.
Off-road qualities are provided by the car and high ground clearance - 167 mm with 17 inch wheels. The Sportage is a very economical vehicle. In mixed mode, it consumes an average of 9 liters, on the highway - 7, and in the city - 11.
The interior in the crossover is quite spacious, the trunk is 491 liters. Moreover, the rear seats can be expanded almost to floor level. In the latest generation of the model, the instrument panel is decorated with a large touchscreen display. Rich configurations offer leather trim for the instrument panel and seats, steering wheel control buttons and keyless access to the salon. The front seats are electric and memorize three positions. The standard power package also includes blind spot monitoring sensors that translate the danger signal to the side mirrors. For comfortable off-road driving, the Kia Sportage is equipped with a vehicle stability control system, which helps when moving on mud and ice. A parking aid system is installed in rich trim levels. In addition to the rear view camera and parking sensors, the system shows on the display directly the distance to the object of interference.

Increasingly, the Kia Sorento will take an honorable centerpiece in the crossover lineup. And this is absolutely true - the first release of the model was released back in 2002 and today it has gone through a change of three generations and six restyles. At the very beginning, the Sorento was produced with three types of drive: front, rear and full. But over time, manufacturers abandoned the rear-wheel drive, re-qualifying the model in the middle class.
Now you can buy cars with four-wheel drive or front-wheel drive, with a gasoline or diesel engine. Moreover, the model always shows good indicators for gasoline consumption. So in the extra-urban cycle, the Kia Sorento with an engine of 2, 2 liters and 200 hp, a diesel engine and four-wheel drive consumes only six and a half liters. Not bad at all for a car with such performance. If we also consider that it weighs almost two tons, and accelerates to hundreds in 9, 4 seconds. The gearbox on the Sorento is either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. Moreover, only an automatic machine is paired with a diesel engine.
The interior of the crossover has changed a lot over time. It has become taller due to the low floor, and the third-row seats (seven seats are available only in expensive versions) received additional legroom and a new transformation mechanism. The dashboard received a seven-inch touchscreen monitor and a more sloping console shape. The model has a choice of interior - leather or fabric. The trunk has become a little more spacious, with the seats folded out, its volume is 2057 liters.
Kia mohave
The Kia Mohave belongs to the SUV category. But it would be unfair not to mention him among the “colleagues in the shop”. In fact, not every automaker can afford to have a true off-road vehicle in its lineup. Mohave's competitors include the Toyota Land Cruiser and the American heavy-duty vehicle range. And Mohave was originally made for the American market, where the buyer appreciates large engines, carrying capacity and high cross-country ability.
For the first time, the SUV was presented to the audience in 2008 at the Detroit Auto Show. A year later, the model began to be assembled at a plant in Kaliningrad and sold in Russia. A model with a plug-in all-wheel drive, a reduction gear and an automatic transmission entered the Russian market. However, Mohave in the West and in the United States is also equipped with mechanics.
Real off-road qualities are provided to the car by a frame structure, an electronically controlled all-wheel drive, an independent suspension with an anti-roll bar. Wheelbase - 2895mm. The car comes in two trim levels: a gasoline engine of 3, 8 liters and 275 "horses" and a three-liter turbodiesel with 250 "horses". Interior trim options are different and depend on the equipment. All variants have separate climate control and an off-road package: ESС, ABS, US, DBC (Descent Assist System) and emergency braking assistance. The fuel consumption of such a car is also impressive. In city mode, it consumes 15 liters. But, as a rule, the real numbers are much higher. And the claimed acceleration of Mohave to 100 km / h in 9 seconds with a curb weight of 2218 kg is clearly overestimated. And the rest is a great family car for a comfortable life outside the city.
Kia tusker
Very soon, Kia Motors will unveil its new Tusker crossover. This is an analogue of a direct competitor - Hyundai Greta, on the platform of which it is made. They are the same in body size and ground clearance. At first, the manufacturers wanted to supply the novelty only to the European market. But inspired by the success of Hyundai, we decided to present several complete sets in Russia. Basically, these will be gasoline engines of 1, 6 and 2, 0 liters and 123 and 150 horsepower, respectively. The buyer will be able to choose a car from four configurations. It is known that the basic package on the "mechanics" will already have a standard power package, but there will be no air conditioner. The top-of-the-range Premium trim will include a modern instrument panel with navigation system, parking sensors, side curtain airbags and body-colored handles.
