It is quite possible to replace the radio tape recorder in the car on your own, you need to have some knowledge. This event must be taken responsibly. Otherwise, the connection quality will be pretty lame.

Step 1
Almost all European-made cars have a niche for 1DIN standard radio tape recorders. It is these car radios that are most widespread in our time. First, you need to dismantle the old head unit. For this purpose, you will need special thin plates that usually come with the device. Use them to remove the radio from the mount. Then it remains only to disconnect all the wires that fit to it.
Step 2
Then you can proceed to installing a new device. You can mount the car radio in two ways: with a front mount and with a conventional side mount. Fastening in the first way is usually used when installing models of the 1DIN standard. They have a frame as standard.
Step 3
If you decide to install the head unit in the second way, then first place the holder in the slot, and then insert the connected radio tape recorder into the mounting frame. Secure it with special clips. The radio tape recorder must also be secured from the sides. For this purpose, screws must be included in the kit. Line up the holes on the bracket and on the radio and tighten the screws.
Step 4
There are times when the connector and wires for installation are missing. In this situation, you will have to deal with the wiring. It is best to drive them under the interior trim. To power the head unit, you need to lay 3 wires. Two of them must be positive and the third negative. The red wire will be responsible for the main power supply. Most often it is connected to the ignition switch. The system in this case will not discharge the battery. The yellow positive wire will be responsible for the memory of the radio itself.
Step 5
If your car has a non-standard connector that fits only the head unit, then you can solve the problem by connecting the device using a special adapter.
