In modern cars, the radio is installed directly at the factory. True, the pre-installed radio tape recorder usually does not support modern audio file formats. Therefore, the drivers of the GAZelle car often install a new radio tape recorder on their own.

Necessary

  • - instructions for the radio;
  • - a file or a knife;
  • - screwdriver.

Instructions

Step 1

Begin the installation by removing the frame. Please note that the cover of the radio is removed after the frame. Otherwise, both parts will be broken.

Step 2

Remove the frame without using excessive physical force and only with your hands. Do not pry with a screwdriver or other tool due to the risk of breaking a fragile part. Having taken out the middle part of the frame under the climate control unit, go to its bottom. Pull out the cup holders and pull out the entire frame.

Step 3

Prepare a file to process the installation site of the radio in the cabin. Initially, it has slightly rounded corners, which interferes with the installation of a non-standard radio tape recorder, which may require processing of the mounting place. Usually you need to use a file to get right angles. Work the file slowly, periodically trying on the radio tape recorder. Processing must be completed when the new radio tape recorder enters the mounting hole of the passenger compartment without resistance.

Step 4

Pull out the bundle of wires that can be found under the climate control. If the audio preparation has already been carried out earlier at the factory, further actions must be coordinated only with the instructions for the radio tape recorder, since the internal wiring has already been prepared and you only need to connect the wires in the prescribed manner, focusing on the color scheme and type of connectors.

Step 5

If the machine is not prepared, refer to the color of the wires. The black wire will need to lead to the "-" terminal of the battery, while the yellow and red wires usually go to "+". The remaining wires must be routed to the speakers. This will again help the instructions for the installed radio tape recorder, where the color of the wires to the various speakers is prescribed, as well as the order of their connection.

Step 6

Unscrew the screws to remove the trim and cap. Connect the speaker using a special wire that attaches to the terminals. Turn on the radio and check the sound. If successful, repeat the process with all the remaining speakers.
