The magnitude of the mileage can be prompted by the pedals, namely the rubber pads on them. If the seller says that the car barely "ran" 50,000 km, and there is metal polished on the pedals, then the mileage is probably twice as much as stated. By the way, you should be on your guard if you see completely new pads on the pedals.
Step 2
Carefully inspect the plastic (or carpet) in the driver's tunnel (and not only on the floor, but also on the sides and top). This is the dirtiest place in the car, and the washers often don't get there. In addition, this surface is in constant contact with the shoe. It is expensive to change the cover, because it must be done entirely. In general, an unnaturally clean tunnel is a reason to be wary, and falling panels and cracks are also. It is very difficult to "kill" the salon for fifty or a hundred thousand kilometers, but for a much greater mileage it is already possible.

Also pay attention to the steering wheel. If it is leather, then it is expensive to change it, and to alter it so that it looks like a native one is extremely difficult. So the state of the buttons, and even more so the pictograms, threads and the surface itself, printed on them, will give out the mileage. True, if the car is expensive, then the owner can replace the steering wheel and buttons in it (pre-sale preparation), and these expenses will pay off.

The condition of the seats should also be assessed. Please note: the surface condition of the driver's seat should be approximately the same as the condition of the steering wheel. If this is not the case in a particular case, then this is a reason for bargaining. By the way, for 100,000-120,000 kilometers of run, the fabric wears out and burns out. With the skin, the story is similar - it does not rub up to holes by a hundred thousand, but varnish and paint peel off from it. The condition of the seams and the color of the threads is a good indicator.

Now all the attention is paid to the plastic on the front panel and doors. Rather, the knobs and buttons with pictograms located on them. Their condition speaks of the service life. These parts are most often cheap, but they can be difficult to buy. Non-original parts are a reason, if not for refusal to purchase, then at least for bargaining.
Step 6
It makes sense to pay attention to the gearbox lever and its "skirt", if any, and the parking brake lever. Once behind the wheel, you should start the car yourself, because one of the signs of a high mileage is a loose ignition lock. It makes no sense for the seller to completely change the interior and its elements, because the cost of only spare parts will several times overlap his margin. If the interior is completely new, then most likely they are selling you a car assembled from two.
