In cold and humid seasons, fogging up car windows is a real scourge. Poor visibility can lead to an accident, because at an important moment you will see only haze instead of reflection in the mirror. Established tools do not always help to cope with this problem. Although the stove blows the glass, this may not be enough.

First, let's figure out the main reason for the appearance of fog on glass. This is a fairly obvious point. Moisture on the glass condenses from the air inside the passenger compartment, and this is caused by the temperature difference at the interface. After all, the glass (in case of insufficient heating) has a lower temperature than the rest of the parts inside the cabin. That is why moisture condensation occurs on it.

There are several proven remedies to keep your car windows clean and transparent.

1. Since the cause is excessive moisture, there are two options to get rid of it. Ventilate the interior properly or warm it up. You need to warm it up so that you get a bath and the water eventually dries out. After such a warm-up, it will remain to open the windows and the vapors will instantly evaporate.

2. If simple airing does not help, and blowing glass does not cope, you may have to move on. Since there is an aquarium inside your salon, you need to give vent to these vapors. You can make additional holes in the luggage compartment so that moisture can evaporate somewhere.

3. Carefully check the air circulation system. Often the airflow becomes dirty or the connecting pipes of the system fall off. Therefore, the incoming air is not sufficient to dry the condensate.

4. Eliminate all materials and elements that can absorb moisture. This is an unnecessary source of fog and condensation. Use rubber mats and avoid fur-wrapping the steering wheel. Avoid puddles inside the cabin. Remove snow from boots and clothing.

5. If none of the options help, there are special chemicals that can prevent condensation on the glass. They are based on the same principle used in diving mask products. A thin film forms on the glass, which prevents condensation and dew formation.

6. If you don't have a special tool at hand, an ordinary onion can help you! The idea here is the same - essential oils from onions will prevent dew from appearing on the glass. This is a cheap and easy way, but an unpleasant smell is bound to appear. In some cases, it can sting the eyes, so you need to use it with caution.

7. Other means that can form a film on the glass are also suitable. Dishwashing detergent may also work. Also, keep in mind that dirty glass will sweat faster.

Regardless of which method you choose for cleaning, you need to remember that poor visibility is one of the main causes of an emergency.
