Step 1
Insulate the interior. Remove the seats. After that, remove the gearshift knob, unscrew the door sills and racks. Now start rolling the material that you have on the floor of the car. It can be carpet, linoleum, etc. As a rule, it is not a good holder of heat, so it may need to be replaced. Proceed with the installation of thermal insulation on the floor of the car. Cut the insulation to fit. Try to put insulation on as large an area as possible. After that, you can lay the soundproofing. Then lay down the carpet.
Step 2
Remove the dashboard. You will see a part of the body that is not insulated and is just metal. We need to fix this. Apply "sealant" to the body and glue the thermal insulation to it. After insulating this part of the car, put the dashboard back. Now proceed with the insulation of the doors. To do this, remove the door panels. Using the "sealant", begin to glue the thermal insulation material to the door panels. You can also insulate the inside of the doors, which is only a metal structure. Assemble the door panels upon completion.
Step 3
Start insulating the body. Remove the bonnet cover and stick the heat insulating material on it. Place the thermal insulation on the radiator grill, but do not glue it. You can also sew a special heat-insulating battery cover. With such a cover, the battery will cool down more slowly, and you can easily start the car in the winter.
Open the trunk. Apply thermal insulation to its lid and interior trim. Take care of purchasing linings for the gas tank. Pay particular attention to the rear wall of the trunk, which separates it from the passenger compartment. This is where heat loss and interior blowing can occur.
