All modern parents with private cars know that, according to the law, small children under a certain age should be transported in a car only in a special car seat that ensures their comfort and safety in the event of an accident. If you have never installed a car seat on the seat of your car, you are probably having a hard time how to do it correctly. Installing a car seat in accordance with all the rules is very simple - for this you need to clearly follow the instructions.
Instructions
Step 1
Install the seat only in the back seat of the car so that the child in the event of an accident will not be injured by the airbags and a broken windshield. Never mount the front seat rearward facing for the same reasons. In the back seat, the chair can be placed against the movement of the car until the child grows up to the age at which the chair can already be placed in the direction of travel.
Step 2
It is best to place the seat in the middle of the rear seat - this is the safest place in the event of an accident. Position the seat so that it is slightly tilted back and the child has the opportunity to lean back.
Step 3
Tighten the seat belt that you use to fasten the chair to the seat as tightly as possible and make sure it is securely fastened. Draw the seat belt over the marked area for the anchorage indicated in the instructions for the car seat. The strap must pass through all the fixation points on the chair - only in this case the chair will be secured safely.
Step 4
Make sure that the shoulder strap is always fastened at the belt and that the chair pulled against the seat does not move more than two and a half centimeters. Once the seat has been installed, push it down with your weight while tightening the belt, but do not leave the belt buckle on the seat frame.
Step 5
Just in case, take the instructions for the chair with you on the road if you have to reinstall it. Check from time to time to see if the car seat mount is loose if you have installed it permanently and are not removing it.
Step 6
From the age of three, the child can sit on a chair with an additional special back cushion in the direction of travel of the car. In this case, position the belt so that it runs diagonally, touching the shoulder and not reaching the child's neck. When fastening your child, straighten the harness and make sure it fits snugly.
