A trailer is a very convenient and necessary vehicle for transporting goods. It is simply necessary for use in the household, so many motorists are wondering: how to make it yourself?

Step 1
Align the trailer frame with the body frame grill. Thus, you will achieve a monocoque body. Use five crossbars between the crossbars to create a platform grid. Make small cantilever spars relative to the side members.
Step 2
Weld the longitudinal members on both sides of the ends. On these elements, through each cross member, install four posts, which are carefully welded. For side members, take rectangular pipes 60 * 30 mm. All other components: traverses, racks, cross members, make of a square pipe 25 * 25 mm.
Step 3
Make the sides of the body folding, which will allow you to transport long objects. Cover the platform lattice with a sheet of iron; for this, a duralumin sheet with a thickness of about 2 mm is well suited. Using M5 bolts, screw it to the grate and you get a perfect floor that can withstand a fairly heavy load.
Step 4
Make the bridge beam from two identical sections of channels, which insert into each other, weld them. At the ends of one of them, weld two wheel axles in advance. Fill up all the resulting gaps with pieces of steel sheet.
Step 5
From an old car, for example, from "Moskvich", take two springs, which will serve as a connecting element of the beam and frame side members. Also, wheels for the future trailer are suitable from the same car. Make the drawbar double-beam, make it from the same pipe as the side members. Weld the rear ends of the drawbar to the front side members with a slight overlap. The front ends should converge on the hitch.
Step 6
Install tail lights, turn signals and brake lights on the tailgate of the trailer. Connect them to the electrical part of the car using wires. This will help make your road maneuvers clear to other road users.
