Instructions
Step 1
Think over the height and shape of the new body kit for the VAZ and make a drawing. To do this, you can use special computer programs, or you can use an ordinary piece of paper and a pencil. The main thing is that your drawing is detailed. Make the required foam templates.
Step 2
Remove the VAZ bumper and rinse it thoroughly with detergent. This is necessary in order for the foam to "adhere" to the bumper better.
Step 3
Begin to gently fill in the contours of the bumper with polyurethane foam. Before starting this procedure, you need to decide how many centimeters you want to lower it. It should be remembered that a gap must be left between the bumper and the ground. Protect it from splashes and fill it gently with 2-3 layers of foam. Let the foam dry and fill in a few more layers. Squeeze the foam from time to time to be more secure. After 4-5 days, the foam will completely harden and be ready for cutting.
Step 4
Mark the foam according to the templates and carefully cut according to the sketch.
Step 5
Sand the foam thoroughly with a block and coarse sandpaper and cover with a layer of thick paper.
Step 6
Take a glass cloth, saturate it with epoxy and carefully glue all the parts over. Be careful to ensure that the fabric lies flat.
Step 7
Sand the surface thoroughly with sandpaper. Gently putty. The first two layers of putty are recommended with fiberglass.
Step 8
Wait for the putty to dry, sand the surface with sandpaper and wipe with acetone.
Step 9
Apply two more coats of regular putty, wait until dry and sand again.
Step 10
Prime the surface and sand with fine sandpaper.
Step 11
Paint the finished body kit and attach it to the car.
