Driving in rural areas is associated with certain difficulties, including: off-road, seasonal thaw and lack of car service stations. Open the trunk of any local car, and there will certainly be a place for a cable, without which no one dares to get under way.

Necessary

  • - torn rope,
  • - a powerful screwdriver or pry bar.

Instructions

Step 1

Steel rope - a rope, rescued many drivers from trouble, and some more than once. For example, a driver who is caught in a trap in the form of a large muddy puddle in a car is not able to leave it on his own. The exception is cars with a winch, but even in this case, the matter is not complete without a cable.

Step 2

The success of the towing process depends entirely on the skillful and coordinated actions of both drivers. And if something went wrong or one of the drivers made a mistake, then the assistance ends with a broken cable.

Step 3

If your own cable breaks, that's half the trouble. But when a stranger broke, this is already annoying, since the rules of good form oblige the assistant to compensate for the damage. But don't rush to buy a new cable. After all, the broken end of the steel rope is very successfully braided, and it becomes again suitable for further use.

Step 4

Moreover, you can braid it right there, at the site of the disaster. For a seasoned trucker, it takes literally five minutes to restore the cable loop. And this is not a fiction.

Step 5

The main condition for the successful weaving of a new loop is that the end of the cable should not have bends. If they are still present, then they must be chopped off. A similar task is carried out with the help of two hammers: the end of the steel rope is laid on the tip of one, and the bent ends are cut off with the other.

Step 6

Then the cable is divided in half in thickness and unbraided to a length of about eighty centimeters.

Next, you need to start forming the loop. For this purpose, the ends of the cable must be bent towards each other (stepping back from the unwoven part of 20 cm) and wrapped around them.

Step 7

The winding continues until the whole part of the rope is reached. At this stage of the restoration of the cable loop, there are still unsealed ends, which are woven into it with a screwdriver or a pry bar. It is enough to put the loop on the towing hook, insert a screwdriver into it, which is grasped with both hands and rotates around the rope axis, at the same time pulling the screwdriver towards you.

Step 8

After sealing the free ends in the cable, the screwdriver is removed from it, and the beginning of the loop is wrapped with electrical tape.
