The trunk of a car very often closes tightly exactly when the owner least expects it, which brings him a lot of trouble. If the lock does not respond to the key, there are some tips you can use to open it without breaking it.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the back seat of the car. Open the middle armrest. Many Audi models have a sunroof here. Put your hand through it and reach the trunk lock, open it. In other Audi, where there is no through hole, the metal in the place of the partition is not cut through to the end, but only perforated. Squeeze it out gently.
Step 2
Check the trunk pulls if the opening button is not pressed when the button is pressed (the pull may have come off it). In this case, in the middle of the place under the license plate, drill a hole with a diameter of 10 millimeters. Pull the pull through it with narrow pliers to open the trunk. Cover the hole with double-sided tape (you won't see it under the number).
Step 3
Try opening the boot using the ski transport opening found on all Audi models. Unscrew the nuts that secure the stopper (use an extension with a spanner wrench). Release the stopper from the trim or screws that secure it to the body. Pull the lid up - the trunk should open. The stopper will rise with it.
Step 4
Pour plenty of WD-40 penetrating fluid into the trunk lock. Insert the ignition key into it and turn it a quarter clockwise. Click on the lid - the trunk should open. Do not overdo it with the dose of liquid, otherwise the contact that is located next to the lock will oxidize. This will lead to alarm problems.
Step 5
Remove the back seat. Through the slots in the panel, try to get a thin plastic tube that goes to the trunk lock actuator and the fuel filler flap (in Audi it is green). The tube is located near the compressor. Cut it as close to the trunk as possible. Blow out the tube with a pump, blowing air sharply. The lock will open. The tube can be rebuilt by attaching a larger diameter hose to it.
