It is necessary

  • - end heads 10 mm and 13 mm;
  • - short Phillips screwdriver;
  • - pliers with replaceable nozzles.

Instructions

Step 1

Drain the coolant. To do this, place the car on a pit or overpass. Remove the crankcase protection by unscrewing the self-tapping screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Locate the two hoses that fit the bulkhead of the engine compartment. Loosen the clamps on these hoses, remove the hose and place a container under them to collect the coolant.

Step 2

Unscrew the nut that secures the heater to the engine compartment shield located in the area of the removed hoses. To do this, use a 10 mm head. Remove the cabin filter. Remove the floor tunnel lining. Remove the plastic steering column cross member by unscrewing the screws. Remove the steering cover and disconnect all pads with wires from the steering column switches.

Step 3

Open the cover of the fuse box and remove it by pulling it towards you. Disconnect the headlight switch connector from it. Remove the fuse box itself by pulling it out of the grooves and disconnecting the pads from the wires. Disconnect the ECU connector located under the glove compartment.

Step 4

Remove the radio. After unscrewing the nuts securing the air ducts for the rear passengers (located under the front seats), remove them. When detaching the locking pads, pry the locking device with your hands or a flat screwdriver and slide it out.

Step 5

Disconnect the steering column from the cross member by removing two bolts and two nuts. Lower the column to the floor. Remove the bracket by unscrewing its fastener from the cross member to which the steering column is attached. Unscrew the pedal mounting bracket from the instrument panel cross member. It is secured with two bolts in the pedal area and one under the instrument cluster.

Step 6

Remove the front pillar trim. To do this, move the door seal in its central part and remove the fastening piston. Likewise, remove two more pistons along the edges of the seal. The removed cladding reveals a view of the self-tapping screws for securing the lining to the windshield. Unscrew them, lift the cover and pull it towards you, overcoming the resistance of the Velcro.

Step 7

Under the removed trim, unscrew the seven self-tapping screws with pliers, as well as the seven nuts securing the instrument panel to the engine compartment panel. Locate the recess under the windshield opposite the driver's seat. In this groove, find and unscrew the two nuts securing the ground wire.

Step 8

Remove the plastic trims on the sides of the dashboard and remove the cross member to body bolts. Remove the two bolts securing the console to the floor tunnel. While lifting the instrument panel, remove it by pulling it towards you.
