The dashboard on a VAZ 2110 car is one of the most noticeable interior details. After all, it is always in front of the eyes of the driver and passengers. In some cases, the panel needs to be removed. For example, when replacing an old torpedo with a new one, when conducting vibration or thermal insulation of a car, or when replacing internal wiring.

It is necessary

  • -a set of wrenches and screwdrivers;
  • -marker;
  • -labels (self-adhesive).

Instructions

Step 1

Pay attention to the sequence of the procedure for preparing the passenger compartment for disassembling the front panel. You need to start by removing the steering wheel of the car. Removing the driver's seat, which you will need to go to later, will be difficult if you leave the steering wheel in the passenger compartment. It is necessary to calculate the effort when pulling the wheel out of the column spline. Loosen the steering nut and jerk it with all your might, while swinging it alternately from side to side.

Step 2

Now detach the fasteners for the front seats to be removed from the car. This is done in order to gain unhindered access to the cabin floor tunnel. After dismantling the seats, proceed to dismantle the tunnel. To do this, unscrew the self-tapping screws and slide the upper part of the unit to be disassembled back. Repeat the operation with the bottom of the tunnel.

Step 3

Unscrew the screws and self-tapping screws on the steering column cover. Remove the steering column switch set. Mark the loose connectors and wires with labels and a marker. These precautions will help when assembling a dashboard when you have a large number of multi-colored wires on your hands. Especially the marking will be needed by owners of used cars on which an alarm and audio system are already installed.

Step 4

Now proceed to dismantle the glove compartment, then remove the relay and the mounting block. Be careful with the technology for removing the front struts and the instrument panel. Mark the wires and be careful with the fragile parts of the speedometer. Do not forget about the headlight hydro-corrector, which needs to be pushed in a little.

Step 5

Now it's time to disconnect the dashboard from the car body. Unscrew the screws and a couple of studs under the air duct covers that serve to supply air to the side windows. Under the front panel, which can now be pulled out of the passenger compartment, there is a huge amount of wires and connectors. All of them must be marked with a marker and inscribed labels, and then disconnected from the dashboard.
