Imagine you bought a car not so long ago. We did a little tuning. In short, drive your car, listen to your favorite music and enjoy life. But at one point, you hear a viscous, viscous bass coming from your neighbor's car along with the music. Did you like it. You want a mesmerizing low-frequency sound coming from your car too, and in order to fulfill this desire, you just need to install a subwoofer.
Instructions
Step 1
However, this process is quite time consuming and complicated. Therefore, before installing your own subwoofer, make sure you have the proper skills and have all the necessary tools on hand. Incorrect installation can damage the subwoofer.
Step 2
The active subwoofer is equipped with its own power amplifier, which is able to remove the low-frequency load from the amplifier. The characteristic difference between a passive subwoofer is that such an amplifier is not built into it, so in this case you will have to buy this very amplifier separately. In this case, the subwoofer is connected to the speakers in series through the amplifier. How the amplifier is connected is described, as a rule, in the user's manual that comes with it. Usually in the radio tape recorder itself there are line outputs for connecting an amplifier.
Step 3
Now go directly to the installation of the subwoofer, after you have chosen the right type for yourself.
The subwoofer case is usually fixed in the trunk with metal corners. There should be no gaps between the corners and the body. Otherwise, you will hear an unpleasant rattling from the trunk.
Step 4
The subwoofer is usually directed backwards, in the direction opposite to the movement of the car. This is justified by the fact that due to this arrangement, the sound waves travel a greater distance, as a result, the bass will be deeper. You can direct the subwoofer towards the passenger compartment. However, in this case, you risk ruining it if the distance from the subwoofer to the seats is too short. Now you know enough to hook up a subwoofer yourself.
