The arrival of winter among motorists is marked by the appearance of such a problem as fogging of windshields. This can cause an accident on the road or a traffic accident.

The reason for the fogging of the windshield is quite simple. Cold surfaces condense moisture in the air. At the same time, a person inside the car gives off even more moisture through breathing. Therefore, there is a fogging effect on the windshield.

Another reason may be associated with a violation of the tightness of the seals that are on the glass. To solve this problem, you will have to inspect the windshield and correct the defect. This is best done in a specialized body shop.

There are several ways to deal with the first (and main) cause.

The most common way is to clean the glass with a cloth. However, the effect of this is small, as soon the glass fogs up again. To achieve a tangible effect, first it is better to dry the air inside the car. After that, it is recommended to ventilate and warm up the machine.

Then turn on the stove and, if possible, direct the air flow towards the window. To get a positive result, install an air intake outside the car, but never circulate the air. If the car has an air conditioner, the fogging problem will be solved very quickly. After that, you can use a special window defogger.

Many car owners to this day use the so-called "folk remedies", rubbing the glass with glycerin. However, after that, the glass becomes greasy, and stains appear on it, which again interfere with normal driving. Also, touching the glass rubbed with glycerin can easily get dirty. Currently, there are products on sale that form a film on the windshield, which prevents the glass from fogging up. When using such products, moisture still remains, but the protective layer prevents the formation of drops.

The windshield can also fog up when using special products. This is most likely the result of improper use of chemicals. Therefore, you should not use such products when the glass is already fogged up, but only after thorough drying.
